What a great website! Some really good advice as well and making me chuckle heartily! I’m currently doing some voluntary coaching to build on my skills while looking after two young children (my main job!). I absolutely love it and am getting some really great feedback. Now I need (wrong word, as a Coach I should know better!) to market myself. Yes, of course I am wondering about my website, should I Twitter (do people want to know I’ve just emptied a potty?) and what’s this about blogging?! Umm..perhaps those are all excuses though – your site has just reminded me that what I really need to do is talk to people! As luck would have it a friend has got in touch today as they want some coaching – I was about to say no, I don’t coach friends, but now I’ve looked at your site I will of course say YES! Thanks!
Thank you, Helen! I still forget sometimes myself in getting wrapped up in the enrollment process. Right now I monitor how many enrollment conversations I have per week and how much time I spend in conversation. I measure this by counting the number of coaching offers I have extended in one week.
Hi Jason – I came across your page after seeing you post on Coaches That Rock! I would really love Steve Chandlers book and I am also very curious about the 18 disciplines of coaching. I live in Australia and ‘one day’ my goal is to have someone like Steve or Rich Livtin or Michael Neill as my coach. I am building my business and absolutely love what I do – creating more clients is one of my biggest challenges at this time. Thank you and look forward to following your travels on the Coaches That Rock page. Sincerely Jenny Smith
